Kodama Jozo is a small-batch, quality-oriented distillery run by Junpei, a toji (master distiller) who studied brewing at Tokyo University and returned to Nichinan City to take over the family business of shochu production.
This handmade sweet potato shochu is made from red sweet potatoes and rice grown in Miyazaki Prefecture.
This is the undiluted shochu of the distillery’s representative brand, “Toji Junpei”, which has a citrusy aroma derived from red sweet potatoes. It is recommended to drink straight or on the rocks.
