Made from sweet potatoes harvested from Yamae village in Kuma, Kumamoto.
This potato based shochu has a similar taste and texture of the ‘ginjo’ sake.
A fruitiness flavour you would not normally find in shochu blends with the sweetness of the fermented potatoes in the liquour to produce this unique liquour that smells and tastes like the ‘ginjo’ sake, but finishes with the sharpness of a shochu.
To achieve this the liquour is bottled in its unfiltered state then stored in controlled conditions until ready. The alcohol content of this shochu is 39%, the bottle has won top place in the Los Angeles International Spirits Competition in the Shochu Category, consequence 5 years (2015~2019).
